Competition Terms and Conditions
Conditions of Participation for the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Competition
By entering into this “Samsung Solve for Tomorrow” Competition (the “Competition”) you (the “Applicant””) agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”). Any information published by the Promoter about the Competition at www.solvefortomorrowuk.com or set out elsewhere in the application process form part of these Terms and Conditions.
Entry into the Competition signifies acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
The Promoter of this Competition is Samsung Electronics (UK) Limited, Samsung House, 2000 Hillswood Drive, Chertsey, Surrey, KT16 0RS.
The Competition is divided into three (3) phases, with a selection process at each phase, so that only those Participants who pass a given phase can participate in the subsequent phase.
1 – Definitions
| “Conditions” | means these conditions of participation. |
| “Competition” | means the “Samsung Solve for Tomorrow” Competition. |
| “Competition Brief” | means the brief against which the Participants must submit an Idea as part of their Entry. |
| “Hark ” | means Hark London Ltd, a company based in London, UK. |
| “Winner” | a successful Participant(s) who is awarded a Prize. |
| “Prize” | means the awards outlined in section 7. |
| “Idea” | means the idea entered by a Participant in response to one of the Themes. |
| “Samsung” | means Samsung Electronics (UK) Limited, a company based in Surrey, UK. |
| “Entry” | means an application by an individual or Team. |
| “Entries” | means every Entry. |
| “Participant” | means the individual or Team that has made an Entry. |
| “Team” | means an individual or team of 2, 3 or 4 individuals who are working on or have submitted an Entry. |
| “Applicant” | means teacher or home educator applying on behalf of the Participant to participate in the Competition. |
| “Group” | means one of the three age categories (11-14; 14-16; or 16-18). |
| “Theme” | means one of the themes as set by Samsung as the basis for the Competition. |
| “Semi-finalist” | means a Participant that has been selected to take part in Phase 2 of the Competition. |
| “Finalist” | means a Participant that has been selected to take part in Phase 3 of the Competition. |
| “Submissions” | means any (non-personal) information submitted by an Applicant at any stage. |
| “PR Purposes” | the use of Applicant or Participant personal data for marketing and publicity as set out in clause 9.2. |
2 – Eligibility
2.1 The Competition is open to UK and Republic of Ireland residents aged 11 to 18 years on the submission deadline (01/02/2026). The Competition will be split into three (3) Groups and Participants will enter one (1) of the below Groups, based on the age of the individual Participant (in the case of an individual Entry) or of the oldest Participant (in the case of a Team Entry) on the submission deadline (01/02/2026):
- Ages 11–14
(England/Wales: Years 7–9 · Scotland: S1–S3 · Northern Ireland: Years 8–10 · Republic of Ireland: 1st–2nd Year)
- Ages 14–16
(England/Wales: Years 10–11 · Scotland: S4–S5 · Northern Ireland: Years 11–12 · Republic of Ireland: 3rd–Transition Year)
- Ages 16–18
(England/Wales: Years 12–13 · Scotland: S6 · Northern Ireland: Years 13–14 · Republic of Ireland: 5th–6th Year)
2.2 No purchase is necessary to enter.
2.3 Employees or agents of the Promoter or any of its group companies or their families or households or anyone professionally connected to the Competition are not eligible to Enter.
2.4 All submissions must be made on behalf of the Participant(s) by an Applicant (a teacher or home educating parent). Submissions from anyone who is not a teacher or a home educator will be disregarded.
2.5 Applicants must create an alias for individual Participants or use a Team name on the Entry Form. For safety reasons it is important that Applicants do not include or reveal any personal information (e.g. name, contact details, etc) of Participants on the Entry Form. Applicants must keep a record of which alias or Team name belongs to the Participants. This will be used to identify Participants selected to go through to proceed to Phase 2 as Semi-finalists. In this event Samsung and Hark Ltd will contact Applicants directly to identify winning Participants, but all communications will remain via Applicants.
2.6 The Competition is open to individuals or teams of up to four (4) people.
2.7 All Applicant and Participants accept that Entries are made by Applicants on behalf of the Participants behalf subject to these Terms and Conditions.
2.8 Each Participant may only participate in one (1) Entry, either individually or as part of a Team. Applicants may submit Entries on behalf of more than one Participant.
2.9 Participants must create their own work, and not copy text, images, audio, or video recordings from third parties.
2.10 In order to be eligible to progress to the subsequent phase of the Competition, all Participants from each shortlisted Entry must be available to attend all mentoring sessions and workshops and the final pitch event as directed by the Promoter and as set out below, unless in the event of sickness.
2.11 Each Applicant and Participant will act in good faith, reasonably cooperate with any requests from Samsung in a timely manner and not act in a manner which may adversely affect Samsung’s reputation, or adversely affect the health, safety or wellbeing of Samsung’s staff or that of any other Applicant or Participant.
3 – Timetable of the Competition
The Competition runs from 05/11/25 through to 30/04/26, scheduled as follows:

3.1 Exact dates and curriculum of mentoring, workshops and the pitch event will be confirmed closer to the time, and the Promoter will work with Phase 2 and 3 Participants and Applicants to secure convenient dates. Attendance on the agreed dates will be mandatory in order to progress with the Competition.
3.2 All dates are subject to change by Samsung.
4 – Phase 1 – Imagine It
4.1 Applicants must submit the Entry/Entries on behalf of Participants by 23:59 (GMT) on 01/02/26 (the “Application Deadline”). Postal entries received with a post mark on or before 01/02/26 will be eligible for judging if received by 04/02/26
4.2 Each Participant may submit a maximum of one (1) Entry per Team or individual Participant.
4.3 The Entry must include the following three (3) A4 pages in accordance with the instructions provided at https://www.samsung.com/uk/solvefortomorrow:
Entry cover sheet with key Applicant information (this may be a completed copy of the Entry Form or answers to the Entry Form questions handwritten or typed on a blank sheet of A4 paper)
Entry overview with submission of Idea (this may be a completed copy of the Entry Form or answers to the Entry Form questions handwritten or typed on a blank sheet of A4 paper)
A labelled sketch of the Participant’s Idea (completed by hand or digitally).
All personal information related to the Participant in the Entry should be anonymised by the Applicant.
4.4 Entries must be submitted by the Applicant using one of the following methods:
- Sent by Freepost SAMSUNG SOLVE FOR TOMORROW
- Submitted on www.solvefortomorrowuk.com
- Email to samsungsolvefortomorrow@harklondon.com
4.5 Following the Application Deadline, Entries will be reviewed and judged by a panel of judges comprised of employees or agents of Samsung and at least one independent judge. The panel of judges shall review the Entries to determine the twenty-four (24) Entries (eight (8) per Group), which, in the panel of judges’ view, best meet the Winning Criteria Phase 1 (defined in section 4.7 below). The panel of judges’ decision is final. No correspondence or negotiation will be entered into by the Promoter concerning either the decision or the result.
4.6 The twenty-four (24) Participants (8 per Group) selected by the judging panel in accordance with Clause 4.5 above will proceed to Phase 2 of the Competition.
The Phase 1 winning Participants will be notified via the Applicant. The Applicant will be notified by 13/02/26 via the email provided by the Applicant at the time of Entry.
4.7 The selection criteria for determining the winning Entries in Phase 1: Imagine it includes the following criteria (“Winning Criteria Phase 1”)
- Impact – Does the idea solve a real problem (that falls under one of the three themes for this year’s competition: Smarter Sport, Greener Future, Safer Online) and improve someone’s life in a meaningful way? (scored out of 15)
- Use of technology – Does the Idea include an innovative technological solution, and is it used effectively to address the problem? (scored out of 15)
- People and planet – Does the Idea consider its impact on the planet and avoid unnecessary harm or waste? Does it consider the audience it is intended for and ensure it is accessible? (scored out of 10)
- Feasibility and thoughtfulness – Is the Idea well considered, and could it realistically work in the real world? (scored out of 5)
- Creativity and originality – Is the Idea fresh, imaginative and different from typical solutions? (scored out of 5)
Total score of 50 available
5 – Phase 2 – Make It Qualification
5.1 Only the twenty-four (24) Participants (eight (8) per Group) who were successful and notified in accordance with clause 4.6 above can participate in Phase 2: Make it.
5.2 In Phase 2, Semi-finalists must refine their Imagine it submission using additional resources available on the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow website and the feedback provided in the mentoring sessions and workshops. The Semi-finalists must attend two online mentoring sessions, each of approximately 45 minutes, with a Samsung employee. The Semi-finalists must also attend the virtual or face-to-face prototyping workshop.
5.3 Applicants must submit the Semi-finalists’ refined Idea by 20/03/2025 (the “Phase 2 Submission Deadline”).
5.4 Following the Phase 2 Submission Deadline, valid submissions will be reviewed and judged by a panel of judges comprised of employees or agents of Samsung and at least one independent judge. The panel of judges shall review the Entries to determine the nine (9) Entries (three (3) per Group), which, in the panel of judges’ view, best meet the Winning Criteria for Phase 2, as outlined in section 5.6. The panel of judges’ decision is final. No correspondence or negotiation will be entered into by the Promoter concerning either the decision or the result.
5.5 The nine (9) Semi-finalists (three (3) per Group) selected by the judging panel in accordance with Clause 5.4 above will proceed to Phase 3 of the Competition. These Phase 2 winning Participants will be notified via the Applicant. The Applicant will be notified by 26/03/26 via the email provided by the Applicant at the time of Entry.
5.6 The selection criteria for determining the winning submissions in Phase 2: Make it includes the following criteria (“Winning Criteria Phase 2”):
- Impact – Does the Idea solve a real problem and improve someone’s life in a meaningful way? (scored out of 15)
- Use of technology – Does the Idea include an innovative technological solution, and is it used effectively to address the problem? (scored out of 15)
- People and planet – Does the Idea consider its impact on the planet and avoid unnecessary harm or waste? Does it consider the audience it is intended for and ensure it is accessible? (scored out of 150
- Feasibility and thoughtfulness – is the Idea well considered, and could it realistically work in the real world? (scored out of 5)
- Creativity and originality – is the Idea fresh, imaginative and different from typical solutions? (scored out of 5)
Total score of 50 available
6 – Phase 3 – Pitch It
6.1 Only the nine (9) Participants (three (3) per Group) who were successful and notified in accordance with clause 5.5 above can participate in Phase 3: Pitch it.
6.2 Each Finalist must attend one (1) virtual or in-person mentoring session and one (1) virtual presentation skills workshop to support the creation and delivery of their live presentation.
6.3 Each Finalist will deliver a live presentation of their idea at the final event (the “Final Event”). The presentation will take place in front of representatives from Samsung and Hark Ltd, as well as other leading industry experts.
6.4 If the Finalists plan to support their presentation with multimedia, this content must be sent by email to the email address to be provided, by the final presentation submission deadline, the date of which will be confirmed by Samsung in writing.
6.5 Each refined Idea will be assessed by a panel of judges comprised of employees or agents of Samsung and at least one independent judge. The panel of judges shall review the Entries to determine the one (1) Idea, per Group, which, in the panel of judges’ view, best meet the Winning Criteria Phase 3, as outlined in section 6.6. The panel of judges’ decision is final. No correspondence or negotiation will be entered into by the Promoter concerning either the decision or the result.
6.6 The final results will be announced at the Final Event on 30/04/26
6.7 The selection criteria for determining the winning Ideas in Phase 3: Pitch It includes the following criteria (“Winning Criteria Phase 3”):
- Impact – Does the Idea solve a real problem and improve someone’s life in a meaningful way?
- Use of technology – Does the Idea include an innovative technological solution, and is it used effectively to address the problem?
- People and planet – Does the Idea consider its impact on the planet and avoid unnecessary harm or waste? Does it consider the audience it is intended for and ensure it is accessible?
- Feasibility and thoughtfulness – Is the Idea well considered, and could it realistically work in the real world?
- Creativity and originality – Is the idea fresh, imaginative and different from typical solutions?
- Presentation skills – were Participants persuasive and engaging in their presentation? Did they communicate their Idea clearly and effectively?
- Wow factor – did the Idea and approach excite you? Is it innovative?
7- Prizes
7.1 Phase 1: Imagine It
- The eight (8) Winners, per Group, of the Phase 1 Prize will be the highest scoring Participants selected in accordance with clause 4.5 above, and will become the Semi-finalists.
- The Phase 1 Prize consists of:
- One (1) pair of Samsung FE earbuds for the winning individual Participant or for each individual in the winning Team.
- One (1) Galaxy 2025 A series Tab for each Applicant associated with a winning Participant.
- One (1) virtual or in-person workshop:
- For each school associated with a winning Participant, the workshop will be made available for up to thirty (30) students
- For each home-educated winning Participant, the workshop will be organized for a 1:1 session.
- Two (2) virtual mentoring sessions with a Samsung mentor.
- One (1) Samsung 2025 OLED Smart TV for the school listed on the most valid Entries. In the event more than one school is listed on the most Entries, the winning school shall be selected at random from such schools.
7.2 Phase 2: Make It
- The three (3) Winners, per Group, of the Phase 2 Prize will be the highest scoring Participants selected in accordance with clause 5.4 and will become the Finalists.
- The Phase 2 Prize consists of:
- One (1) virtual or in-person mentoring session with a Samsung inventor for the winning Participants.
- One (1) virtual presentational skills session led by Hark for the winning Participants.
- One (1) invitation to the Final Event in London for the Finalists and the Applicants associated with the Finalists (does not include travel and hotel expenses).
7.3 Phase 3: Pitch It
- The one (1) Winner, per Group, of the Phase 3 Prize will be the highest scoring Participant selected in accordance with clause 6.5.
- The Phase 3 Prize consists of:
- One (1) Samsung Galaxy Book for the winning individual Participant or for each individual in the winning Team.
- One (1) day of work experience opportunity for each winning individual winner or for each individual in the winning Team
- The work experience opportunity location will be confirmed by Samsung in writing. The opportunity will be held on one day before September 2026 on a date to be confirmed by Samsung in writing. There are no alternatives to the work experience opportunity should the Winner not be able to attend.
- The Idea submitted by the winning Participant shall be featured on a Piccadilly Circus big screen.
- One (1) Samsung AI Interactive Whiteboard for each school or home educator associated with a winning Participant. Home educator Applicants associated with a winning Participant may be offered the choice of an alternate prize at Samsung’s discretion.
- One (1) Samsung Galaxy Book for each Applicant associated with a winning Participant.
- All remaining Finalists who do not win the Phase 3 Prize shall receive one (1) Samsung Galaxy 2025 A Series Tab for each individual Finalist Participant or for each individual in the Finalist Team.
7.4 Samsung will communicate to the Finalists via the Applicant’s email submitted at the time of Entry by 17:00 BST on 15/05/26 to organise the provision of the Prizes.
7.5 The Promoter reserves the rights to disqualify Participants if their conduct or content is defamatory, offensive or contrary to the spirit or intention of the competition.
7.6 The Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value for any Prize.
8 – Prize Draws
In addition to the Competition, the Promoter is running the Prize Draw described below (a “Prize Draw”).
8.1 The Prize Draw is open to in-person UK and Republic of Ireland schools for children aged 11 to 18 (the “Schools”). Home educators and online schools are not eligible for the Prize Draw.
8.2 No purchase is necessary to enter.
8.3 The Prize Draw will open at 12:00 GMT on 05 November 2025 and close at 23:59 GMT on 01 February 2026 (“Prize Draw Period”).
8.4 There is one (1) Prize available to be won in total, consisting of one (1) Samsung 2025 OLED Smart TV (the “Prize”).
8.5 The Prize carries no cash value, is non-transferable and may not be substituted by the winners. The Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value for any Prize.
8.6 To enter, Schools must be listed on at least one (1) Entry for the Competition (“Prize Draw Entry”).
8.7 Maximum of one (1) Prize Draw Entries per School.
8.8 The winner does not have to be associated with a Participant who progresses beyond the Imagine It phase of the Competition to be eligible for a Prize Draw Entry.
8.9 The winner of the Prize will be the School selected at random from all valid Prize Draw Entries received by the Promoter during Prize Draw Period.
8.10 The winner will be notified by 13 March 2026 via email.
8.11 Winners will have fourteen (14) days from the date of notification to reply to the email sent by samsungsolvefortomorrow@harklondon.com and arrange Prize delivery.
8.12 In the event a winner is unreachable, ineligible, or fails to claim the Prize in the time required, the winner shall forfeit their Prize and it will be awarded to a substitute winner, selected in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
8.13 The winners will be announced on or around 05 February 2026. Details of the winners will be made available by emailing samsungsolvefortomorrow@harklondon.com.
8.14 The Promoter excludes liability, to the fullest extent permitted by law for any loss or damage arising from or in connection with the Prize Draw or with the acceptance or possession of any Prize.
8.15 All Prizes are subject to current tax laws, and may be considered to be a taxable benefit to those who have participated and won a Prize.
8.16 Entry into the Prize Draw signifies acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
8.17 The Promoter reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions at any time.
8.18 These terms and conditions will be governed by English law.
9 – Use of Submissions
9.1 The Promoter may, but is not required to, publish Content produced by the Winners and any and all Content received by it in connection with this Competition at any time and for any reason on its website www.samsung.com, across its social media channels including YouTube (which may include paid spend), newsletter, for internal use, public relations and reporting of the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow campaign, as well as any trade shows, in its stores and channel stores and public screens, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the Competition.
9.2 The Participants own all their Submissions. Each Applicant and Participant agrees, and hereby provides, a perpetual unrestricted (non-exclusive), irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable licence to the Promoter, including the right to sub-licence, to use, develop, edit, adapt, modify, or transform the Submissions for any purpose.
9.3 Each Participant warrants that they are the person who created the Submission submitted to this Competition. Each Applicant warrants that to the best of their knowledge the Participant(s) on whose behalf they are submitting created the Submission submitted to this competition. The Applicant and Participant(s) shall indemnify the Promoter and hold it harmless from and against any losses, damages, liabilities, obligations, claims, actions and demands, including without limitation reasonable legal fees, arising directly or indirectly from any breach of warranty set out in this clause.
9.4 Each Participant agrees that Samsung and Hark Ltd, and their affiliated companies, are entitled to report about the Competition, including the Participants’ Ideas, including for marketing purposes.
10 – Personal Data – Rights to Use Names, Images and Videos
10.1 Samsung is the Data Controller for the Competition. Hark Ltd is Samsung’s Data Processor for the purposes of the Competition.
10.2 Samsung will only collect Applicant personal data (and not Participant personal data) in Phase 1 of the Competition (Imagine it). Following Phase 1, Samsung will collect personal data of the Semi-finalists. Samsung will ask the Applicant to seek parental consent for this to take place, and the Applicant will share both the Samsung general Privacy Policy and young person’s Privacy Policy with the Semi-finalist Participants.
10.3 Samsung shall only use the Applicant and Participant personal data for the purposes of operating and administering the Competition (including contacting the Applicants in relation to the Competition and award activities), and the below PR Purposes.
- Participants selected to proceed to Phase 2 and/or 3 understand that Samsung and Hark Ltd and their affiliated companies, may use their school name and entry in publicity and marketing relating to the Competition.
- Participants selected to proceed to Phase 2 and/or 3 understand that Samsung and Hark Ltd and their affiliated companies, may use their photographs and videos at the events in publicity and marketing relating to the Competition.
- Participants selected as Finalists understand that Samsung and Hark Ltd and their affiliated companies may additionally use their name and age in any publicity and marketing relating to the Competition unless a specific request is made to not include them.
10.4 Each Applicant’s personal data, and the personal data of Phase 2 and 3 Participants, will be held in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11 – Legal Terms
11.1 The Promoter shall not be liable for any interruption to this Competition whether due to force majeure or other factors beyond the Promoter’s control.
11.2 The Promoter reserves the right, acting reasonably and in accordance with all relevant legislation and codes of practice, to vary the terms and conditions of this Competition. The Promoter reserves the right to change the dates set out in the above Timetable.
11.3 The Promoter reserves the right to
- exclude from scoring or remove an Applicant or a Participant from the Competition for any violation of these Conditions.
- exclude a Participant if they do not react within the time limit defined in a notification from the Promoter, and appoint a replacement.
- extend a deadline, or require a response by a set deadline, where technical or other problems occur in respect of a submission.
- modify the Conditions at any time and without the consent of the Applicants. Applicants will be informed in an appropriate manner of any modifications.
- remove Applicants from the Competition without compensation.
11.4 Each valid Entry will be assessed and scored by the judges against the Winning Criteria in each phase and the decision of the judges will be final. Under no circumstances shall the selection be made in the sense of a lottery, on the basis of chance or luck. In the event that the judges acting reasonably believe that all of the entries are of an insufficient quality to be awarded the prizes then the judges reserve the right to cancel the Competition and withhold the prizes.
11.5 – Limitation
The Promoter will not be responsible or liable for: (a) any failure to receive Entries due to transmission failures and other conditions beyond its reasonable control; (b) any late, lost, misrouted, or damaged transmissions or entries; (c) any computer or communications related malfunctions or failures; (d) any disruptions, losses or damages caused by events beyond the control of the Promoter; or (e) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Competition.
By entering the Competition, the Applicant and Participant to release the Promoter from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Competition or with the acceptance, possession, attendance at or use of any prize except death or personal injury caused by the Promoter’s negligence, for fraud, or otherwise as prohibited by law.
The Promoter accepts no liability for any consequences, whether direct or indirect, that may arise from your participation in the Competition, your reliance on any statements we may have made about the Competition, or its suspension or withdrawal.
11.6 – Law
The Competition and these Conditions are governed by English law.

Prize Draw Terms and Conditions
Solve for Tomorrow Registration Imagination Toolbox
By entering the Prize Draw described below (a “Prize Draw”) you (the “Applicant”) agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”).
1 – Promoter: Samsung Electronics (UK) Limited, Samsung House, 2000 Hillswood Drive, Chertsey KT16 0RS.
2 – The Prize Draw is open to UK and Republic of Irelands schools (including in-person and online schools) and home educators (“Schools”) for children aged 11 to 18.
3 -Employees or agents of the Promoter or anyone professionally connected to the Prize Draw is not eligible to enter.
4 – No purchase is necessary to enter.
5 – The Prize Draw will open at 12:00 GMT on 5 November 2025 and close at 23:59 GMT on 1 February 2026 or until all five hundred (500) Prizes (defined below) are gone, whichever occurs earliest (“Prize Draw Period”).
6 – There are five hundred (500) prizes available to be won in total, each consisting of one (1) ‘imagination toolbox’ themed decks of playing cards (the “Prize”).
7 – The Prize carries no cash value, is non-transferable and may not be substituted by the winners. The Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value for any Prize.
8 – To enter, Schools must be listed on at least one (1) Solve for Tomorrow registration form submitted by an Applicant on www.solvefortomorrowuk.com and has been opted in to the Prize Draw (“Entry”).
9 – Maximum of ten (10) Entries per School. Further Entries will not be counted in respect of the Prize Draw.
10 – Prizes will be awarded on a first come first served basis. The first five hundred (500) Schools to Enter the Prize Draw will receive a Prize.
11 – Maximum ten (10) Prizes per School.
12 – Winners will be sent the Prize to the address provided on Entry by 13 March 2026.
13 – In the event a Winner is unreachable or ineligible, the Winner shall forfeit their Prize and it will be awarded to a substitute Winner, selected in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
14 – By entering the Prize Draw, Applicants consent to their personal information being used by the Promoter for the purposes of operating this Promotion and acknowledge the Promoter reserves the right to publish the names and towns of residence of all winners. 15 – Following the end of the Prize Draw Period, details of the Winners will be available by emailing samsungsolvefortomorrow@harklondon.com.
16 – The Promoter excludes liability, to the fullest extent permitted by law for any loss or damage arising from or in connection with the Prize Draw or with the acceptance or possession of any Prize.
17 – All Prizes are subject to current tax laws, and may be considered to be a taxable benefit to those who have participated and won a Prize.

Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Prize Draw 2025/26
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By becoming a Samsung Solve for Tomorrow School (“Samsung Solve for Tomorrow School”) you (the “Participant”) agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”). Any information or instructions published by the Promoter about the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools on the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow website (https://solvefortomorrowuk.com/) form part of these Terms and Conditions.
The Promoter
1 – The Promoter is Samsung Electronics (UK) Limited of Samsung House, 2000 Hillswood Drive, Chertsey Surrey KT16 0RS.
Eligibility
2 – The Prize Draw is open to all teachers in the UK and Republic of Ireland who teach students aged 11 to 18 years old, including teachers in online schools who accept these Terms and Conditions, and are a teacher who has encouraged their students to enter the Solve for Tomorrow Competition 2025/26 (each a “Participant” and together the “Participants”). Home educators are not eligible.
3 – Employees or agents of the promoter or any of its group companies, their families or households and anyone else professionally connected to this Prize Draw are not eligible to participate.
4 – No purchase necessary to Enter.
Prize Draw Period
5 – The Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Schools Prize Draw period will open at 00:00 (GMT) on 5 January 2026 and close at 23:59 (GMT) on 1 February 2026.
Prize
6 – There are three (3) prizes available to be won in total, each consisting of tech prizes (each a “Prize”, together the “Prizes”). Exact prizes shall be determined by the Promoter at its sole discretion.
7 – Each Prize carries no cash value, is non-transferable and may not be substituted by the winner. The Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value for any Prize.
Entry
8 – To Enter the Prize Draw, Participants must:
- Register an account on the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow website (https://solvefortomorrowuk.com/);
- AND Submit at least five (5) entries into the 2025-26 ‘Solve for Tomorrow’ competition run by the Promoter (“SFT 25/26”) (an “Entry”).
9 – Each submission shall only generate an Entry if the Applicant has entered SFT 25/26 in accordance with the SFT 25/26 terms and conditions available at https://solvefortomorrowuk.com/. Such entry must be fully completed and received by the Promoter.
10 – Any submission by Participants after the Prize Draw Period will not generate an Entry.
11 – Entries that are incomplete or damaged will be deemed invalid. No responsibility is accepted by the Promoter for lost, delayed or damaged data which occurs during any communication or transmission of Entries.
12 – The Promoter reserves the right at its absolute discretion to disqualify Entries which it considers do not comply with these Terms and Conditions, or any Participant who it reasonably believes has interfered with the fair running of this Prize Draw.
13 – The Promoter shall have the right, when necessary to undertake all reasonable actions necessary to protect itself against fraudulent or invalid entries including, without limitation, to request further verification as to your identity, age, and other relevant details.
Winner Selection
14 – There shall be three (3) winners of this Prize Draw, selected at random from all Entries received by the Promoter during the Prize Draw Period in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and in accordance with the following Prize Draw schedule:
- One (1) winner shall be selected on: 6 February 2026;
- One (1) winner shall be selected on: 20 April 2026; and
- One (1) winner shall be selected on: 4 September 2026.
15 – The winners will be notified within thirty (30) days from the date of selection via email to the email address used at the time of Entry.
16 – One (1) Prize per Participant.
17 – Each winner must respond to the Promoter’s email confirming a valid UK postal address and their full name within five (5) business days of notification to claim their Prize. The Prize shall then be delivered within twenty-eight (28) days of the winner confirming their postal address.
18 – In the event a winner is unreachable, ineligible, or fails to claim the Prize in the time required, the winner shall forfeit their Prize and it will be awarded to a substitute winner, selected in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
19 – Details of the winner will be made available if a Participant contacts Samsung via the following web address https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/contact or via the ‘Contact us’ section in the Samsung Wallet app.
Prizes and Data Protection
20 – The Promoter’s use of any personal information submitted by the Participant shall be limited to communications about the Prize Draw and for managing the entry and delivery process. The participant hereby consents to its personal information being used for this purpose and confirms that it agrees with the Promoter’s privacy policy available at samsung.com/uk/info/privacy.html.
21 – Other than as set out in these Terms and Conditions or for the purpose of operating the Prize Draw, the information provided by you when entering the Prize Draw or claiming a Prize will not be used for any promotional purpose, nor shall be passed to any third party.
General
22 – The Promoter shall not be liable for any interruption to the Prize Draw whether due to force majeure or other factors beyond the Promoter’s control.
23 – The Promoter reserves the right, acting reasonably and in accordance with all relevant legislation and codes of practice, to vary these Terms and Conditions.
24 – The Promoter will not be responsible or liable for: (a) any failure to receive Entries due to transmission failures and other conditions beyond its reasonable control; (b) any late, lost, misrouted, or damaged transmissions or Entries; (c) any computer or communications related malfunctions or failures; (d) any disruptions, losses or damages caused by events beyond the control of the Promoter; or (e) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Prize Draw.
25 – Participants will be solely responsible for any and all applicable taxes and any other relevant costs or expenses which are not stated in the Terms and Conditions as being included.
26 – By participating in this Prize Draw, Participants agree, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, to release and hold the Promoter harmless from any and all liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising from participation in or in connection with the Prize Draw, including without limitation, awarding, acceptance, receipt, possession, use and/or misuse of the Voucher. The above limitation of liability shall not apply to liability arising from fraud (including fraudulent misrepresentation), death or personal injury caused as a result of Promoter’s negligence.
27 – The Prize Draw is governed by English law.
