Samsung Solve for Tomorrow

Taking on the challenge independently

Are you interested in starting a career in tech but don’t know where to start? Maybe you want to build your skills, tackle a problem you care about, challenge yourself or you have eyes on the prizes!

You’re in the right place.

What if you don’t have an idea?

Many of our past finalists and winners started in exactly the same place. The best innovations start with curiosity and a problem worth solving. The resources on this page can take you from a blank page to a brilliant idea in as little as an hour.

What is a tech-for-good idea?

A tech-for-good idea uses technology to help people, communities and the planet. It could be an app or digital platform, software service or hardware product. Or maybe even something completely new.

You don’t need to have it all built to take part. You just need to design the idea and explain how it would help solve a real problem.

How it works

On your own or in a team of up to four:

  1. Choose one of our three themes below and find a problem that matters to you.
  2. Use the guide below to develop your tech-for-good idea.
  3. Ask a teacher, tutor or member of staff to submit your entry.
